I've been to Boston & Denver the past two months and have had some really bad beer in both cities. New Orleans is lucky that any brewery you pick you'll be able to find a beer that you really enjoy.

I appreciate the advice, but...come on.

Boston and Denver are two of the greatest beer cities in the country. NOLA is very far behind these two.

(and with that, the entire board turns on the OP and goes from helpful advice to grabbing their pitchforks)

There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding in here

I realize he wasn't comparing the two, but the phrasing of that could have been better. If someone who knew nothing about beer read it, it would be safe to assume that their takeaway would be that Nola beer > Boston and Denver beer.

No shite

When cities are oversatured, you're going to have some bad breweries.

New Orleans brewery scene is still undersaturared and my point was every brewery open is solid. It's a good thing.

Even though none stand out as the best in the city, Brieux Carré would get my vote. Awesome owners, great beer and location location location.

Are you seriously saying that as a beer-related business? It's been open for under a month. Not getting on that bus.

And not to start a bunch of crap, because I genuinely don't care, but when did TD start allowing businesses to blatantly start accounts and promote their businesses?

I think the OP doesn't have time for the tour though.
I do want to take the bus one day for a tour myself

Why only a couple hours ? You guys have a lay over ? Can you rank these things by importance ? Beer, boobs, culture, food, a/c, accessibility, price ?

In town for my wedding, actually. The women are going to be at a bridal luncheon so we have 2-3 hours to kill before people need to start getting ready for the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner.

I'm from Louisiana, my family has a home in the FQ, but the beer scene has changed so much since I moved away 4 years ago. It's one area of the city I know nothing about.

Sounds like boobs are most important so I would go to NOLA.

This may shock you, but I've seen boobs before.
