Some of the west coast ramen (menya ultra in SD) makes me really consider saying ramen > pho.

As others has commented, in Louisiana and certainly New Orleans there is some very good pho and a lot of variety. Union Ramen is good, but it's just one place. But when I go to a place like L.A., it is ramen hands down. There is one block in L.A. that has 4 ramen shops, all much cheaper than Union and all amazing with different styles to each.

Mediocre ramen is better than mediocre pho. However good pho is waaaaay better than good ramen.

Ramen is good but the broth is too thick and rich In which I can’t enjoy as often as Pho broth.
