Take the short ride to Fisher's Orange Beach. Upstairs more formal than downstairs. Thank me later.

For a more “upscale” meal:
Fishers

More casual:
The Original Point
Hub Staceys
Fishermans Corner

Fishers, Voyager's are both good and upscale.

Restaurant under the bridge is good may be already mentioned cant remember the name.

Do Not go to GT's on the Bay. Place has a cool atmosphere but food is terrible

Fisherman's Corner gets rave reviews. Hub Stacey's is really just a sandwich place, no seafood unless it's changed.

I've always liked Sunset Grill but it's more just the open air on the water setting than anything.

The Original Point has never disappointed.

We were at Fisherman's Corner a few weeks back and were very disappointed. Like always, they were very busy, but the food was just not nearly as good as times past.

I had the shrimp and grits, which For a long time I have considered one of the top 10 best dishes on the Gulf Shores - Pensacola coast. Have had it 5-7 times and it was obvious they have changed the recipe (sadly, for the worst). It still had the fried grits ball, but was more like shrimp etouffee than S&G. Also, I think they used Sam's frozen shrimp in the dish. They certainly weren't AL coastal shrimp.

The wife had the Fried Gumbo Salad (Another old favorite) and it wasn't the same either. A big disappointment

If I sound disappointed, I was.

My dish from that night.

My SO parents have a condo in Perdido. Every time we go, I make it point to try a new place each time. only been about 5-6 times in last couple years since doing this eating at a new place. Off the top of my head that I can remember...

Its a 10-15 minute drive but Fishers is a must go to for lunch every time. Their food is good and I like the place in general. Def. do this whether for lunch or dinner. I have never gone at dinner.

All the other suggestions are meh as far as food. Nothing is going to knock your socks off by any means.

I had fishermans corner and had a ribeye. I havent gone back but will and just wont order a steak. I dont like how they cook steaks. I dont think you will be disappointed if you dine there.

Oyster bar food sucks arse!! i know its in the marina but terrible arse food. If you want to be on the water, go down the street to sunset grille. Its open air and food is better.

havent had Hub's because its freaking slammed every time we try to go.

Jellyfish is right across the street from the condo. The last time we had it, last year, it was pretty meh. I do enjoy their tuna app though. We would always sit in the bar area before kids. Now that we have kids, the dining area is outdated. Its like sitting in two different places.

Lillians pizza - We tried dining once but it was taking so long. We ended up getting it to go. pizza is better than papa johns, etc. but be prepared to dine for a while if you eat there.

the gulf - cool spot for lunch. Beach food

We are going this weekend and I got Butch's Bistro & BBQ, Islanders, Hub's, and Cobalts as some of the new places to try.

I am mainly trying to remember places in Perdido for the most part. We are also trying places from gulf shores, OB, to Pensacola

Fisher's Upstairs is by far our favorite for dinner. Doc's has an awesome oyster poboy. Pirates Cove cool by boat but just bar food. Tacky Jacks also nice to eat on the water. Lillian's for pizza but it's a hike from OB.

Fisher's Upstairs

We were very underwhelmed with Fisher's last summer. We had been a couple times before and really enjoyed it, so maybe we hit it on an off night. All 4 of us ordered something different, and none of us thought very highly of our dishes. We'll give it a try again at some point, but it's no longer a near "must" place when we're down there.

We did really enjoy Playa, owned by the same folks.

There are really no “must eats” in the Perdido area. There are several decent places and most of them Have been mentioned in the above thread

i would say this is the case for OB and GS as well. Its just beach food that is average but will always have business becuase of tourism.

Perfect example the crab trap... that place is pretty terrible unless it improved in last 10 years but doubt it. that place is still kicking after all these years

Worth the trip to people watch. You see all kinds there, plus dogs. The burgers and such are good enough bar food.

I once saw a cook flip a burger patty into the mouth of a Saint Bernard that was strolling through the bar.

Another visit included a butch tatted up lesbian taking a frat boy over her shoulders and squatting him several times. Why? Who knows, but it was entertaining.

Anchor bar and grill in OB is a must try. Small menu that changes every week but they always knock it out the park. Beautiful setting on the water also.
