Going to have to give this recipe a go. Love a good peanut butter pie. The amount of Jif natural I go through anyways is problematic

Op - when you say you increase everything by 1/4, is that already in the recipe you had or you do that on top of what you put in the OP?

Sorry, that’s already in the recipe. The filling won’t be full to the top of the crust, but you can see that in the previous pictures.

Made 4 tonight. Two with crushed Reese’s and two I melted some peanut butter and did a little drizzle and swirled thing on top. Freezing two and doing two in the fridge to see how they compare. Can’t wait to give them a try tomorrow

These were so good last year but I ended up being the only one eating it after the first day, and that wasn't good.

Every year I see this post and ask my husband if he would eat one. Every year he says yes. I then somehow don’t follow through.

This year I asked and he said “for God’s sake, woman, make it — MAKE IT!”

So…making one for Halloween dessert.

Probably.

Both were very good. I used the extra creamy cool whip so even the fridge one had good texture to it. It was more like how it is served most places, closer to a cheesecake consistency. The frozen one got almost more like a thick custard. I think I may have preferred the frozen consistency but either were great. I’ll probably add more peanut butter next time for a personal preference but otherwise wouldn’t change a thing.

I top with cool whip and sprinkle with crushed chocolate cookies or broken up Reeces. Once I found chocolate cool whip, and with the chocolate Oreo crust, was delicious.

Bump. I pulled the trigger on one this year. I didn’t want/need 2 pies, but I wanted to fill the one shell pretty full, so I made about a 3/4 recipe. I also added a touch of extra peanut butter for good measure. I’m excited about it.

I doubled the recipe and it makes 2 very thick pies and then a nice little bit left that I am just going to use as a peanut butter pie dip with leftover nilla wafers and stuff from the banana pudding i'm making for thanksgiving, probably going to mix in some of the bananas I don't use too. I think I only used a little over 1 cup of powdered sugar too now that I think about it, think I forgot to double that. Still turned out great though. Really can't mess this one up

I think I probably ended up doing 1.5 cups of peanut butter for mine, hell maybe a tad more, kind of just eye balled it after I measured the first cup . Turned out great though, but I'm a peanut butter fiend. Love how quick and easy this recipe is.

That’s right! I’m somewhat of an idiot and I forget to increase the amount of an ingredient all the time when I double or triple the recipe and they still turn out good. I went to Kroger last night to buy pie shells and all they had were crushed pecan pie shells. Going to give that a go this time.

Next batch I’m going to really play around with. May put bananas at the bottom on top of the crust before pouring the filling and then once it is frozen, put a layer of jam on the top before serving.

I’ve thought about making this with some kind of bananas foster topping. I love peanut butter/ banana.
My only fear is it being too sweet.
