Came across a thread about the best burger in BR. Saw several posters vote this place as the best burger in town. It didn't disappoint; the burger was phenomenal and the wife and I had some cheese curds as an appetizer. Highly recommend to anyone who's never been

That burger and the curds are great. I enjoy going there regularly but not too often.

Yes, the burger is great and certainly among the best in BR. Try the Hot Lonnie sandwich next time.

They make incredible brussel sprouts and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is legit

Went last night and grilled shrimp tacos were excellent

First couple trips the fried chicken skins were on point. Crispy and just enough of the sauce they pour on top after frying. Last trip we went was during the “trivia” contest. Totally different atmosphere. Seemed like we were bothering them that we were their to eat. The chicken skins came out greasy and rubbery. I never send things back but they really were not edible. I saw the cooks look over at our table when the server brought them back to the kitchen. Instead of frying us a fresh batch he just refried the same skins. They came back to the table more greasy, and the sweet sauce tasted burned. I commented to the server that they were still “different “ than usual. He shrugged and walked off. Not real motivated to go back.

Add a glass/pint of one of their rotating taps and you've got my order.

Yes. Do this. Also, get the chicken skins as an appetizer. The Merchant is not where you go to count calories and skimp out.

Last time I went they had NO draft beers like everything was out. Not sure the issue, I think they had an issue with their tap lines or something.

Figured for the 1st time I couldn't pass on the burger. The next time I'll definitely be ordering the Hot Lonnie

That's bizarre. I've been dozens of times and have never seen them out of more than one tap at a time. If they were "out" of everything, they had to have had some kind of technical issue.

I really like this place....food, drinks, all good. BUT, it is super freaking loud in there if the place is remotely busy. It keeps me from going there on the regular, but I do like the place.

Was during game 3 of Pelicans game so it's been awhile, I was a little disappointed but my bill was much cheaper with me drinking tea

There are certain restaurants that I generally avoid going to if I'm not sitting outside. City Pork (Jefferson) is one. Overpass hasn't reached that status, especially during off times, but I do avoid going if I will have to sit inside during peak hours.

I didn’t like the chicken skins as much as I expected, but the Brussels sprouts were incredible, and I’m not usually a big fan of them.
