if you make cheesy mac and stir in a few cans of tuna before baking in oven, it makes a really good tuna casserole

My grandma made what she called tuna patties that are damn tasty. Mix the tuna with italian bread crumbs and egg, a little salt and pepper. Roll into balls about like an egg and roll in corn meal. Fry til golden brown, as a kid I would tear them bastards up with ketchup.

Bumping this thread. Also, do you have a favorite brand/type of canned tuna that you can buy in regular grocery stores?

I make an awesome casserole with canned tuna, egg noodles, cheese, sour cream, corn, English peas, garlic, onion, and a handful of other items.

I've been using Bumblebee Albacore but I think I'm going to order some Wild Planet Brand from Amazon

Just bought some Wild Planet yesterday. I'll let you know when I try it.

Was looking at some tuna cake preparations.

My wife’s family puts it in boxed Mac and cheese. I think it’s disgusting...but maybe you’ll like it...

growing up, my mpm's recipe was
2 boxes kraft mac & cheese made per box directions -stir in a canor two of tha, a can of cream of mushroom soup, top with breadcrumbs and bake till brown I always loved it

I have changed it though--- I only use about 2 heaping TBSP of cream of mushroom soup, another 2 heaping tbsp of sour cream, throw in a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese and top with bread crumbs and bake...truly a tuna mac and cheese and it's yummy! A once in awhile throwback comfort food dish.

Try Raincoast. Caught, canned and processed in Vancouver BC.

More expensive, but bigger can and a lot less water. I occasionally find it at WalMart.

Drain the liquid from the can, throw a couple drops of lemon juice and Crystal on there, and you're good to go.

Let's be honest, tuna salad is for losers.

That's a weird thing to take a stance on.

Tuna, blue plate, tiny bit of yellow mustard, s&p, onion, touch of garlic powder, dill pickle chopped and a hard boiled egg. Chill for a few hours then spoon that on some bunny bread.

Tuna guacamole

Canned Tuna
A smashed avocado
Boiled eggs
Tony’s
Top with crushed up cheez-itz

(Started doing this while in Iraq—using eggs from the locals that we traded MRE desserts for. Still make it all the time.)
