but i'd prefer Freebirds
I only had freebirds once, but it was by far the best chain style “fast casual” burrito I’ve ever had.

Dude I'm exactly the same way. Why the frick is that? It's just appealing on a plane, but no place else.

It’s average, at best. It’s very bland food, and needs a lot of the hot salsa to give it some flavor. I go about knee a year to get a burrito bowl and then wonder why I wasted money on such bland, overpriced food.

I have no idea. I don't know how or why I started ordering ginger ales on airplanes. Maybe I saw everybody else ordering ginger ale, because they also felt a strange compelling to do so.

You can make a hack for a really cheap lunch. Get a burrito bowl and add like every free topping they offer. Add 3 tortillas on the side for like a $1.
Make three burritos and eat during the week. Its like $12 for 3 lunches.
I've never done it but I keep telling people about it

They soak the steak, chicken, and fajita vegetables in seed oils. It's a no go for me. Isn't healthy.
Name a single fast casual place serving burritos, tacos, and taco bowls that is healthy. I’ll wait.

If the beans at Chipotle give you gastric issues, you need to see a physician relatively soon.

Food is never hot , usually just barely warm.

They have grilled bells mixed with onions. I have made that contention before but our friend wants some jalapeños.

I know youre new on this board and dont get the joke. Its from a thread years ago man. Dont worry too much about it

They have a very grilled bell pepper and onion medley. I don't think any location has grilled jalapeños as an option.
And the guy doesn't get the joke.

When I lived in Colorado years ago there was only a handful of them. A few in Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs. Those were good. Everything was fresh, organic, and sourced locally on the proteins. I haven’t eaten at one since the late 90’s early 2000’s. Was rather surprised the owner sold out and the thing exploded nationally. The guy seemed so proud of his restaurants. Guess for a fat bank account everything is for sale within reason. Got to admit the commercials look delicious but so does Red Lobster and RL is just not that good. I’d assume being a national chain the Chipotle I once knew is nothing like what they are serving up today.

I think historically, ginger ale had actual ginger in it, which was a remedy for upset stomachs which people got when flying, so a ginger ale was the natural remedy.
quote:
Ginger has a soothing effect on stomachs, so many people ask for the drink to calm their stomach from the stress of traveling or the turbulence of the plane. But, when you look into it, ginger ale doesn’t contain that much real ginger; it’s actually the carbonation that is settling your stomach. Sherry Ross, MD, of Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, says it has to do more with the placebo effect.
“You’re buying into the power of suggestion,” Ross told Woman’s Day. “We’ve learned from our mothers and grandmothers, who brought us ginger ale and chicken noodle soup when we were sick as kids, that ginger ale works.”
So next time you’re feeling nauseous while traveling, it’s the carbonation in the ginger ale that is helping you feel better. In that case, feel free to order cola or lemon-lime soda instead. It will have you feeling just as good. Once your stomach is settled, it’s time to take a nap. Here is how to sleep well on an airplane.
