I wish we had Publix though. Got a chicken finger sub from the deli counter service last time I went to one, it was amazing

I’d trade all that community coffee for a good grocery store like Publix or HEB

Columbia whole bean is pretty damn good.

Pecan and Praline is the best coffee flavor out there.

HEB has a pretty good community selection

I miss being able to walk out with a pound of hot boudin.

Yeah, I'm not trading my Publix for all the community selection in the world ..
Only place with crappier grocery stores than Louisiana is the damn Mississippi Gulf coast area.

Many years ago, I was absentmindly lingering in front of the Community Coffee display at a local store (the locally-owned and much-missed Western Supermarket in Mountain Brook) when a well-dressed elderly gentleman materialized next to me and suggested I should try some. I immediately switched into Baton Rouge booster mode and started to sell him on the history and benefits of CC. When I finally shut up he chuckled and introduced himself as related (father?) to Mrs. Saurage. As it happens she is from Birmingham.

Folgers black silk is a respectable substitute if community coffee is unavailable.

I'm in there every single time I'm back, now. Dad lives right around the corner.....

I wish they'd open a CC'S here. My ideal dream is a PJ'S, but I'd take a CC's at this point

Get frikt. I have like 10 groceries within 10 miles of my house. Maybe more. 1/2 are chains and half aren't. Each has different specialties. Easily my favorite thing about where I live

Live in Louisiana and will literally go to 3 different grocery stores to get things I need for a dish. Not that I can’t get all at one, but the others have better options for what I’m looking for.

Community is average coffee. It's mass produced crap. With that said, I was in the owners house one time and it's very tastefully decorated.
