Tasting menu with wine pairing at Restaurant August will be a memorable experience. Beautiful setting, impeccable service, great food. Tell them it’s a special occasion

Commanders and Brigstens are great calls, too

+1 billion.

If you’ve got the scratch, the tasting menu at August is world class. Amazing food, spectacular service, great wine. Still the single best restaurant in Nola imo.

Not kidding. A guy I grew up with and is now a doctor posted on facebook today a picture of he and his kids at Court of Two Sisters. He posted that it was so nice to be taking his kids to be eating some of the best food and listening to some of the best music in the world in New Orleans.

Four of us went to Irene’s a few months ago before they moved to the new location and it was one of the best meals/times we’ve had at dinner. None of us looked at the menu. We told the waiter to bring us his best appetizers and each an entree of choice. We all loved it. Every dish was awesome.

Thanks all. Looks like Commanders. White linen night is that saturday and we’ll prolly take that in too. Maybe hit Bed Bath and Beyond as well but not sure if we’ll have enough time.

I'll be at Brigsten's for a special dinner in Sept. Are the scallop app and dinner good? for some reason those are catching my eye.

I always take this approach when eating at a nice restaurant. I’m not a picky eater and the server will know what’s the best dishes the kitchen is putting out on a particular evening.

I always liked upperline as a nice night out.

Reasonably priced, decent atolmosphere, 4 courses

Commander's will give the best Nola experience.

August is probably the best upper crust style restaurant. (Like a five diamond)

Does Chef Prewitt offer any sort of Chef Table at Peche?

Make sure to go full tourist and get the turtle soup as an appetizer.

The staff at Commander’s is great too, went during a bachelor party last year and I’m fairly certain we were all being huge drunk assholes yet they still treated us great.

Too many great options...i’d probably do Herbsaint or La Petite Grocery.

If incredibly over-salted food and very small entrees is your thing, then sure, go for LPG.

To the OP, in all seriousness, skip La Petite. Was there on Saturday, and it's just not a four star kind of place.
