This is a $28 dish.

I mean, if you hadn’t told me what it was, I wouldn’t have really had an objection to a dish with large shrimp, scallops, clams, snap peas, and blistered tomatoes costing $28, depending on where I was.

But being you did tell me, I’m inclined to object solely on principle

While this certainly doesn’t look like Louisiana pastalata, it doesn’t look bad. Nice big seafood pieces. I’d eat.

That dish beats pastalaya any day of the week.

This dish was prepared by my chef nephew for his father, so he may have gotten a "deluxe" version with extra protein. The restaurant is in the Princess Anne Hotel in Asheville.

According to the menu there's housemade pappardelle pasta and andouille in there.

But did he use The Calculator? LOL. Looks like a great dish—far tastier than the pasta mess melange most often seen masquerading as jambalaya.

I don't even see pasta which is probably a good thing for that price

Surprisingly I've actually had some pretty good cajun food in North Carolina

See, that is what happens when you do not have strict rules for Jambalya contests
