This was posted on the Pomegranate instagram acct. Guess he’s out at Shaya. Wonder how that will affect things.
Alon took his Shaya general manager, too. He got us reservations a few times when there were none.

Im sure Alon isn't even going to start a kosher place. But, the Jews really want to get behind that.

That's not particularly reassuring

That is so fricked up.
Reminds me of Steve Jobs getting ousted from the company he founded.

They need to go to some type of mediation, allow Shaya to buy his namesake restaurant and then part ways completely.

Looks like the attorneys will have a bunch of Besh Group and Pomegranate Group gift cards to give out for Christmas.

I'm surprised the article didn't mention who the counsel is for either side

Besh should at least let the guy use his own name.

I don't know who is right or wrong, but this is very sad.
I'd be pretty upset for someone else to keep my name.

I can't imagine that restaurant stays the same without Alonu, Zach, and the GM.

Pizza Domenica changed the pepperoni's so I am very upset over this whole ordeal.

Shaya has got himself in quite the kosher pickle
Posted on 10/21/17 at 10:39 am to FuzzyManPeach
I can't believe this Israel

And here we go... bombs away. Besh will not recover from this. The Shaya stuff strikes me as bullshite. He shouldn't get grief for disciplining some girl who couldn't handle the pressure of the kitchen environment.

No HR in place for the entire restaurant group seems interesting, but I have no idea how a restaurant group structure normally works.

clearly their HR process was dysfunctional
it's a major issue as small companies grow especially in the service industry.
I only have 8 employees so I can't relate but I was in hotel management for a long time back starting in the 90s and can attest to how often female employees can be coerced by superiors and coworkers
