My future in laws are coming in for a visit tonight. They are New York Italians so I want to avoid Italian food cause I don't want to heat about the sauce being better back home.

I want to take them for a nice meal, but there's a caveat that one of them is an extremely picky eater (chicken/french fry/grilled cheese type)

Anything come to mind? I wanted to take them to Clancy's but there is nothing on the menu for Ms. Picky

TIA

With that explanation it does not matter where you take them because they will complain about anything.

Off the wall, take them to the Bon Ton.

High Hat has chicken fingers and grilled cheese on the kids menu. I'm sure they'd make an adult plate for her. The rest of you have other things from which to choose.

Will she eat fried fish?

Just be prepared for a wait. Maybe with the weather like it is if still raining, it may not be all that bad.

Peche has fishsticks on menu. Also Grilled chicken.

The rest of you that enjoy grownup food can enjoy the better parts of the menu

Mandina's has fried chicken. Just tell them not to order the Italian dishes. The menu is huge.

Nola has fried stuffed chicken wings and fried thighs and fries.

Look at Ye Olde College Inn.

This is very traditional, but Galatoires serves an excellent fried chicken off menu.

That's a great suggestion.

F that. Why should the group be held back because one of them eats like a toddler?

Fair bit of truth to this. Start catering to the potential in-laws quirks now and you may wind up doing it for a loooonnnggg time.

Go where you like and let the picky eater find something on the kid's menu to tide them over.
