The blonde was good.

we bought a 'draft pack' of the Hopitoulas IPA and drank a few beers from it, but ended up throwing most of it out. Then again i don't have much taste for beer.

I wouldn't say that you don't have much taste for beer because you don't like Hopitoulas. Many people just don't like IPAs because they are so "hoppy". From my experience, it is a love or hate thing with hoppy beers. IPAs are very hoppy. You just don't like hoppy beers.

have been trying to hunt this down for quite sometime now. Ive really grown to like this style, i want to see how it matched up to the likes of Saison Dupont and Ommegang Hennepin. Ive had the brown, blonde and irish channel stout (much better on draft by the way) and id have to say the blonde is my favorite so far.

I had never seen it until today at Finn's and it was great. I drink a lot of beer and, like some wise people say "you like what you like", I really liked it.

I love NOLA Brown personally- better than Blonde or Hopitoulas.

My favorite is the Hopitoulas, but I am a hophead. Each NOLA beer I have tried is an excellent example of its particular style.

IPA is easily my favorite style so if they have a great IPA, i'm all over it. it just seems like every time i read something about NOLA, it is the Blonde that they are raving about. I hope to try as many as i can find while in town.

I love IPAs too. Hopitoulas is a really good IPA IMO. The west coast IPA style is my favorite because of the in your face, fragrant hops. Bear Republic Racer 5 and Lagunitas IPA are 2 of my favorites.

Yes, I don't think any other LA brewery can compete across the board.

You will like Hopitoulas then. It is closer in style to the Lagunitas.

I have only tried the 3 I mentioned above, but NOLA is the best LA brewer IMO.

Had their wheat last weekend at the beer festival in laffy. I'm not a big fan of wheat's in general, but was very impressed with it. I haven't had the blonde yet, or the saison (not a fan of these at all).

The ones I have tried have all blown me away and make me believe they are the best brewery in LA (maybe gulf coast, not really much competition). ICS and Hopitoulas are the best two beers of their kind made in LA, easily. Brown is solid, Flambeau Red is tasty.
