Is there any LA brewery that competes with NOLA Brewing Co? I have been a fan of their Hopitoulas for some time and this afternoon I had a pint of their Blonde Ale and Hurricane Saison. Both were very good.

Not Louisiana but Lazy Magnolia out of Mississippi has two beers that I like a lot:

1. Indian Summer is a wheat ale spiced with orange peel and coriander (pulled that off their site)

2. Nawlins Gold is their golden honey ale.

I alternate between those and NOLA Blonde whenever I'm at the Bulldog or another place that has all three.

Lester, I have not tried the Brown and it may suck. But I've had many Hopitoulas and today I had the Blonde and Saison. All of these are really good. IMO, NOLA makes better beers than any other LA brewery. I have not tasted any beers from Parish Brewing though.

Yes, I have. Very good. They have it on draft at Oscar's. In fact, I had a pint this evening. But this was intended to be a discussion on LA beers.

i like the blonde,

we bought a 'draft pack' of the Hopitoulas IPA and drank a few beers from it, but ended up throwing most of it out. Then again i don't have much taste for beer.

im an Abita fan, maybe because that is what ive grown up on.

Yes. I had never been but stopped in today. I texted TA from the bar but I was back in BR by the time he got back to me. I can see why you like the place.
