#3 on the list... tell me where you've seen this concept before.
They have a 4 piece meal, 6, and 8. They have a kids meal with 3. They have a meal with the fish on bread.
The fish meals come with fries, hush puppies, cole slaw, and "crazy sauce".
It's the Cane's of fish.
And notice I said fish. Despite the nola.com article, nowhere in their advertising, menu, etc, do they mention catfish. They always say "fish". I'm pretty sure they are using Swai. Which is frustrating, considering their location... but it's cheap I guess.

I like High Hat's whole the best. THE GOAT for fillets was Barrow's.

Used to hear Fitzmorris always talk about Barrows. Wish I would have had a chance to go there

If I'm eating fish I want fish, not batter.

In the hood, small or large plate. Fish, potato salad, pickles and white bread. That is it. It was perfect.

Sammy's on Elysian Fields had some pretty good fried catfish from what I remember. It's been a few years since i've been.

I don't get the love for Middendorfs thin fried catfish..... just as soon batter a sheet of paper and fry it. If I'm eating fish I want fish, not batter.
They make a thick cut fried catfish you can order.

I like New Orleans Food & Spirits

Yes they do, but truth be told their thick is the same or thinner as a regular places fish. Not to mention it's not cheap. I can get a catfish lunch with wild caught catfish at a gas station for $6.95 and barely finish it. But it's not on a lake and it's not 100 years so maybe that's where the extra $7 bucks come in.

Then why do so many sell out places use fake Asian catfish? Acme and many Asian places do this.
