Heads and tails has a huge open patio if you are in the mood for seafood. Crawfish are good there but $$$

Yes, as others have said parrains, velvet cactus, and the new superior are all good options if you’re looking for a fun atmosphere with outdoor seating

You better plan to go early or hope the place takes reservations if you are going anywhere worth a damn.

Everywhere is going to be slammed tonight.

I wouldn’t call it nice, but for a family, Curbside on Government has a really cool back patio area

I second Velvet Cactus. Nobody talks about it that much, but everytime I've been there, I've enjoyed myself

Velvet cactus is the place you take a girl that likes an exquisite atmosphere, thus boosting your shot at getting in her hemisphere.

Roux 61 actually has a nice patio, overlooks a canal and through the trees you see a parking lot

Overpass Merchant, Bistro Byronz (both locations), Bao, Flambee Cafe and City Pork (Jefferson) would be my normal answers, but I have no idea what "family atmosphere" means, so...

Overpass can get loud if a lot of cars are passing
