You aren't wrong.

I lived across the street from the one in Athens GA, ate there all the time, I was always the only white person there, people looking at me like I'm a health inspector or something. Every day of the week there was some kind of special running, stick to the daily specials and it's much less expensive than the other chains. Oh, and my brother in law did get mugged and beaten behind there one time, walking home, shitfaced, alone, in the middle of the night. Life Lesson.

I'll see that bet and raise you $5.

You know the "end of days" is near when Chick Fila screws up your drive thru order, but that's exactly what happened yesterday. Got it 100% wrong - when I called to bitch they said, "no worry, just bring your receipt and we will replace what we got wrong... Free of Charge". Well no shite, did they expect me to pay for their screw up

All true.
I have not been to Popeye's in years.
I even like Churches spicy chicken better then Popeye's now.

Only complaint is they are not consistent on the spice mix. Sometimes it is spicier then others. No problem for me but others may find it too hot.

I also like the green beans and okra.

ETA: Because of the Air Fryer thread I have one on the way. First thing up will be chicken!!!

I just went and tried these Church's chicken strips and they are NOT nearly as good as Cane's in my opinion.

Prob been 20 years since I've been to a Church's.

But this post has me thinking I may give that a try.

Longer for me, but I agree.

That chicken tenders meal has me wanting to go now.

Anybody know what Kentucky Fried is like? Haven’t had it in a hundred years.

Not a good comparison.

CFA's revenue is at least twice as high as Popeye's while having roughly the same number of locations. While everyone is waiting "fo' da spicy", CFA keeps moving customers through the line. Plus CFA is closed 15% of the week.

By all available data, CFA is skulldragging Popeye's.

Just saying.

Only Church’s I can think of in BR is Government and Jefferson now. The one by Chicken Shack closed. I’d run through there when the Shack was packed. Used to have buffalo chicken sandwiches for $1.

Lagniappe - Big Shack laughs at all these Jonny Come Lately chicken sandwiches.

When I worked swing shift and it would be about 1am before I could get there, the Church's in South Shreveport (on Mansfield Rd and Bert Kouns) would be an option for a late dinner/snack after the hour long drive south into nowhere where I lived in the woods. Wasn't worried since I, unlike the local non-landed gentry, know how to conserve ammo by hitting what I shoot at.

Sort of proves my point though, no?

If their product is subpar, they're closed one day out of the week, there's not a huge difference in the number of retail locations nationwide, but somehow CFA is lapping the next biggest fast food chicken outlet...it sort of begs the question - "how are they doing it?"

Seems like their core competency is customer service, and that's propelling them to the #3 spot in the fast food market behind McDonald's and BK.

So when I responded to:
quote:

"Service matters baw. Chick fila hasn’t created an empire by having the best products. It’s about the service"

Popeyes' Success would like to differ!
it would appear that quality customer service is far more important that a quality product.

I prefer Popeye's to CFA, but if the conversation is about success in business then there really isn't a conversation.

had it a couple times in last year. regular chicken was excellent. had their version of the popeyes sandwich a couple weeks ago and was super pleasantly surprised. meal was $5, and it was phenomenal. i left thinking it's probably best value in fast food
