If you're going to be in the French Quarter, mapping out and walking around these area hot spots will give you some good walking tour time..

You can eat decent at 75% of NOLA restaurants for that price.

Flip the script...go higher end at lunch for a better deal and find cheaper eats at dinner.

Mona Lisa on Royal Street for pizza and Italian
Johnny's Po-Boys on St. Louis
Central Grocery for a muffaletta
Port of Call on Esplanade for a burger and baked potato
Cafe Maspero's for poboy's
Verti Marte on Royal and Gov Nichols for takeout sandwiches and grub.
Napoleon House on Chartres and St Louis
Camellia Grill on Carrollton or the French Quarter location on Chartres
Clover Grill on Dumaine and Bourbon is a greasy spoon for burgers, omelets and fries.

I've also seen that Cafe Sbisa reopened on Decatur.. Does anyone have a review?

that guy nailed some of them. maspero is cash only btw.
if you're trying to hold yourself over for a while, get an "all that jazz" from verti marte. they also deliver to hotels if you're staying in the quarter.

This is a great suggestion. a lot of high end places have great lunch menus...you can get the same high quality food at a 15 dollar entree price.

When I'm looking for something based on price alone, my go-to is probably Sarita's on Freret St...cheap as hell and is a solid place...here's the description:

Cuban, Mexican & Central American fare plus margaritas are on tap at this simple, laid-back spot.

lot of other good suggestions, a couple of happy hour musts are Pizza Domenica between 2-5PM daily and Borgne 3-6

Boucherie is a great suggestion. High End dining at a very reasonable price imo.

Vietnamese food, obviously.

-maspero's cheeseburger (on Leidenheimer bun) & fries + $1 stawberry daq = best deal on decatur.

-Rum house on tuesday for cheap tacos, if you can deal with the ghetto bunny hipsters that have made residence.

-Johnny's poboy's always has a 1/2 poboy and gumbo/soup combo happening. decently priced imo.

too many more to list. g'luck and get fat.

No happy hour yet but one to happen soon.

They don't have a house margarita, everything is topshelf and I believe the cost of one is $13.

You can get a Dos Amber pint for $5

That's not true.

I had the Margarita de la Casa last night. Was like $7? $9?

I think $7.

If you get out the quarter you can find a deal just about anywhere.

I enjoy Pizza Delicious, Bacchanal and the Joint in the Bywater area. All are resonable price, you can get food and drinks for under $25 a person at these places.

Uptown has tons of restaurants that are not to expensive just yelp them. I recommend McClures BBQ and Oak and Ale.

Antoines, Commanders and Vincents have $.25 martini and 3 course lunch for under $20 m-f.

Like others said all Besh restaurants have pretty sweet happy hours every day of the week.
