I agree with this. We don't have a ton of options, to be sure, but I think they're solid.

I've never actually had Taco Loceaux so I can't speculate. St. Clare was a solid pie. The bacon jam on the pie I had was amazing and I thought the crust was out of this world/right in my wheelhouse.

Uptown has a few BBQ places and I don't really think they need anymore. If anything MidCity, Warehouse Dist and Lakeview needs BBQ.

Finns had that one BBQ place but I was never really impressed with the food.

Mint, Hi Hat, Wayfare, Johnny Sanchez, Mizado, Boucherie, Lola's, Kanno are all reasonable.

Domenica too if you get pizza and apps.

I was thinking about this today while eating BBQ. When I lived in Houston BBQ for lunch was as common as poboys here. However most places suck in Houston. We have a few number of places with most being above average compared to Houston. We do have some really bad places though.


Ellis if you want BBQ in mid city go catch a show at Chickie wha wha and holler at the guys at Blue Oak.

Black Label ? If so they are out of whatever the name of the bridge lounge is now. It's ok drunk food. They were at Maes for a little while.
