In the old Pizza Hut building on Clearview near West Metairie. I love me some Lot-o-burger!

It has been many years since I had my last, much lest my first.

I was wondering what was going in there. That's near my house, I'll be checking it out.

Lot-o-burgers were my first hamburgers. Pretty sure they predate both Burger King and McDonald's in Metairie. Our favorite location was the corner of Veterans and Severn, now occupied by Lager's. True story.

My memory of that location is Pizza Inn. I loved that place.
Apparently, the Frostop in River Ridge is closing down and relocating into this Clearview location.

That location had pretty good food, but they insisted on playing hard-core country music all the time. Not a good strategy for Kenner or New Orleans.

That could be why then, stadium.
I can't comment on the food as I never went in the place.

I like the one in River Ridge. But I go to I think it's GG's Po Boys right in that area?

Salsa Lot-o-burger at the LaPlace Frostop with onion rings FTW.
And they have diet Frostop root beer now.

They predate McDonald's also. My aunt and her husband brought the Frostop chain to New Orleans from Chicago in the early 50's. The first location was on St. Charles and Louisiana Avenues across St. Charles from the old Bultman funeral home.
Good luck to the new Frostop.

My dad stopped by the other night. Said the burger was good, lots of older folks in there reliving their diner days.

it has been packed every night.

Old guy stuff
I worked at a Frostop in Jackson, MS back in the 60s. There were two of them in Jackson, owned by John Wilson - A hell of a good boss. The butter burger was $.30 and the Lot-o-burger $.49. Our food was half price. Started as a grillman for $.30/hr and got a $.10/hr raise six months later. Thought I was a big shot. Banked about half my check each week.
Mr Wilson just about went crazy when Jack's hamburgers for $.15 came to town. He had a big failre in business that he never got over. WHen KFC started franchising he was offered MS, AL and (i think) Ark. for 20,000. And he truned it down, saying that it would ever work, that no one would buy chicken cooked at a food stand. He would go into blue funks when the subject came up, saying he just never thought it would go over as big as it did.

The former Kenner location was also an old Pizza Hut and is now occupied by Little Chinatown

The one in LaPlace was a regular stop for us when I was a kid. I didn't know they were still around.
