I thought that Donnie boy had to promise to run off Southdowns to get Bulldog to agree to locate there. Same reason Whole Foods doesn't have taps-pressure from other tenants

Yeah I'm just gonna go ahead and say that's not a great business plan. A fool and his money....

New concept in old Table Kitchen & Bar space
Table is already done?
damn....

Does this really surprise you, the owner of table had zero restaurant experience, very little money, and doesn't like to work: great combo to be successful in the restaurant business.
If I had to bet the piazzas will put in a concept their financial backer has seen out of town, liked and researched extensively and wants to bring to Baton Rouge. It could be interesting

Pretty sure this is closer to the truth and pressure from the Southdowns Civic Association to limit the number of bars on Perkins Road, the power of the curse of Southdowns Bar is real

I can tell ya'll this-- Southfin Poke is delicious and will make it. I went to the soft opening last night. Very, very good.

I believe there will be some service flow issues to work out, but the product is outstanding.

Read the first page of this thread. It's going in the space where Truly Free was in the same shopping center we've been talking about for 2 days now.

You did pretty much nail the description of Pelican House.
again i still dont agree, while they do have a few garage doors, it still feels dark in there. plus with the whole bar in the corner aspect of the pelican house i HATE.

Maybe they have stopped replacing the light bulbs, because it always felt really bright when I went... granted it has been a good while since the last time I was there. Plus it was all finished in bright colors and there were plenty of windows on the left and back sides.

Plus the whole scantily clad chicks serving the beer thing.

I think you just have a thing against pelican house.

I mean you complain about the bulldog being dimly lit yet you are a regular there.

I dont complain about it, I was saying that a bar exactly opposite of that could work across the parking lot. could be a change of pace.
