Why do you need to switch to brown rice?

Doc just informed me, it takes time to turn to carbs in your body, unlike white which it does immediately

I can’t remember what brand we buy, but I will say that I like the flavor/texture just as much if not more than white rice. It was one of the easiest healthy transitions for us to make.

Try purple rice. You can find it at Rouses

I am assuming you are referring to the glycemic index. Just switch to Basmati. Not all white rices are the same.

Been using Cajun Country long grain brown and do a half brown with white by soaking the brown in tap water for about an hour before cooking in an Oster steamer.

If this is a change you want to make, I'd switch to par-boiled rice. Lower GI than white or brown rice.

Brown rice is so close to white rice on the index it's almost negligible, and it tastes like shite.

Use the pre riced cauliflower rice. I use for just about everything now. I think it tastes better than brown rice anyway.

Cauliflower rice baw. Brown rice has terrible taste and texture, takes forever to cook, and is still high on the glycemic index.

Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value, Organic Brown Rice Whole Grain, 20 oz, (Frozen). Two minutes per cup in a microwave. You'll find it in the frozen section next door to riced broccoli, riced cauliflower, riced sweet potatoes and white rice.

Brown rice has more fiber which contributes to a lower GI.

Why not just cut out rice if there's that big of a concern?
