Wife likes boiled shrimp so, That is what I am doing. What I need help with are sides. I asked her what do you want to go with the shrimp and she said nothing. I just cannot do nothing.

What are some sides you recommend besides the standard boiled adds?

Yes, agree and that is what I said. But, I think I want to try something different. Any jazz fest sides, thoughts?

Looking for new ideas versus my standard.

I like to add some edamame to the boil for a few minutes.

A good pasta salad. It's cool and refreshing, and she could add peeled shrimp to that the next day.

Grilled corn. Change things up a bit with flavor and not add it to the boil.

I've been making this Asian Noodle Salad recently and it's excellent. I use a different mix of veggies each time but the dressing is what makes it.

I love steamed artichokes with a seafood boil. Also steamed or roasted asparagus.

Deviled eggs are always good.

Fresh cut fruits of your choice tossed in a little good honey and fresh lemon juice. I enjoy cantaloupe, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, grapes... Looks pretty and tastes great.

Grilled fresh corn on the cob is a different play on the corn side.

Creamer potatoes tossed in melted butter and fresh parsley and dill.

We do baked potatoes with ours. Don't know how that started but it really is good. Load 'em up with toppings and enjoy!

I’m with your wife—shrimp are the main event, no need to get too creative. Why not make a few dipping sauces? Horseradish. Thai chili, etc.

Some deviled eggs and coleslaw if you just have to have other stuff.
