Rally’s is always better than I expect.

In my part of the country they are called Checker's. It's the same company. When I was a college student, that place kept me alive with all their rotating 2 for 1 deals, and such. 1000 calories for 3 bucks, etc. But it's not something I would call "underrated". It wasn't very good, unless you are starving. And when you are starving, all fast food is good. So while I appreciate the nostalgia of all those Checker's meals, I would still eliminate them from "underrated" burger contention. Also, my colon just rumbled from typing this.

Not sure if you mean the chain , or the restaurant in Lakeview NOLA called The Backyard .. ive never tried the chain, but The Backyard has (or at least had) one of the best burgers in the NOLA metro, maybe THE best .

2. Sonic Double Cheeseburger

I think Sonic’s burgers are pretty good. Their coney’s and tots are also good along with their drink selection.

Their chicken sucks along with the jalapeño poppers. You can get the same thing out of the grocery store freezer, and cook them in your grease better.

fast food= has a drive up window

That’s pretty much my criteria as well.. though there are some notable exceptions- ie Lee’s Hamburgers.. some (most?) locations have a drive thru, but i dont consider a regional chain with really good burgers to be ‘fast food’ per se… also there are places like Chick Fil A that have (had?) locations in malls without a drive thru, but are still most definitely fast food .

Griff's. I'll always remember when one of our dudes in AFRTOC got the Triple Meal Deal in Ruston after getting wasted, and ate it approx 3 hours before we had a PT test. We re-named what he ordered after him, but I can't tell you what his name was without outing myself.

ETA, yes, he ralphed.

forgot about DQ. That’s a good answer. I prefer that to any of the burgers from the burger fast food joints.

BK is fricking disgusting in every experience I’ve ever had.

The town of Jennings doesn’t do much of anything better than any other place, but their Burger King burgers and Popeyes spicy chicken are always hot, taste fresh, and are tops for those chains.

The customer service at that Popeyes, though, is amongst the worst of Popeyes chains, which is staying something.

You should buy a DQ franchise when you win your lawsuit.
