I can one up every single food snob here. How you treat the common man, I can treat you. As Paul was a Pharisee of Pharisees, I am a food snob of food snobs.

Are you coming on to me? Sorry, but I'm currently in a relationship with Kate Upton.
I don't trust a video from a reporter who repeatedly uses split infinitives in her speech. I am appalled by this Americanized sushi chef. I bet he fakes the Japanese accent.

I tend to go for guys with more sophisticated palates. You know the ones that mix their wasabi and soy sauce.

Your flirting is duly noted.
What's your favorite sushi?

Nigiri. This place near me has some great Eel Nigiri that I've taken to.
Of course I'm not above a good ol' fashioned Philly Roll either.

I figured this thing out long ago. When I go eat sushi at a fancy place like Waka House or Wahada I bring my own pre-mixed wasabi/soy sauce container. If you mix it up by the gallon it's super cheap. Then I smuggle in some Italian dressing packets from Wendy's and let it all marinate together before eating. You should try it, it's way better.

The ginger is to be used to cleanse your palate between pieces of sushi and eating too much is considered rude.
And the sushi chef adds the wasabi under the fish. You should only dip the fish in the soy sauce not the rice.

You really shouldn't use the soy sauce either. Eat it straight up!

I hate food snobs.
Dinner table ettiquite is about the actions of the dinners not their food choices. You want to bitch about someone slurping from a cup or a spoon, clicking their teeth on their fork, or sitting with their elbows on the table fine. When you start telling people they are wrong for eating a food or foods a particular way, you have in turn limited your expierances and labled yourself in the process. Feel free to suggest that there MAY be a better experience to be had if certain foods are consumed a certain way but dont cross the line and tell someone their way is wrong. If they want mayo on a hotdog, a steak grilled over gas, a glass of white zin, or mixed wasabi/soy then so be it.
FWIW I challenge you to dispute that the most historic way to eat sashimi is next to the water bone in and right after scraping off the scales.

Wait wait wait! There's a "right" way to eat a hot dog? I never knew that, I guess I am an uncultured savage

Well, they don't do it Japan, for the most part.

I'm not reading through 5 pages of what I'm sure is people laughing at your crappy post...
But I stuff a lot of things with cream cheese, and most of them are amazing and get big compliments on it.
But thanks for telling me what's right and wrong.

When I was a child, and spoke and ate like a child, I put the ginger on top of the fish and ate it in one swoop. But now that I have put away the childish things, I eat the ginger at the very, very end.
The end of the meal?
Because if youve ever been to Japan, you eat the ginger after each type of fish to cleanse the palate.
