Hardee's is the best. But don't hate on McDonald's. Breakfast is about all they're worth going to for. They do it right.

'd go with McDonalds, though they're not exactly great, either.

Just like Popeyes they used to be better. They've changed their process. Not sure about Popeyes but at McDonald's they make more money now compared to the older better tasting biscuits.

The dirty rice still tastes the same. I got a three piece tenders in Mandeville the other day and two of them were the size of a decent trout fillet. Excellent

Exactly. I don't like their chicken but their biscuits are awesome. I also like their jalapeno bombers and fried okra.

Does anyone actually finish a McDonalds biscuit?
If I order a sausage biscuit, I’ll get about halfway through before I just finish the sausage and throw the rest away.

Yeah, when I get a sausage biscuit from there I take the top half off and eat it like an open faced sandwich. Sometimes I eat the top if I have some honey to put on it but usually I throw it away.

It's nowhere near Popeyes level, but I like McDonalds biscuits I get the bacon/egg/cheese one.

Alright not necessary for science as this is a sample of one but I went to Popeyes to see what this is all about.

Got the $5 deal, even though it was more, 5 piece Ghost pepper wings and it comes with Onion rings for $5. Pretty good deal?

When I pulled up and saw this I thought I had made the right decision.

Got everything situated and the first thing I noticed is what the hell is up with the onion rings. Not flaked crust, WTF! The chicken looked interesting though.

Main bad boy was the biscuit and figured i'd slice it open for an internal view.

Have to say, biscuit was crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside and just enough butter (or whatever it is).

Biscuit 4/5 - Wings solid 3.5/5 (heat was pretty good) and onion rings 1.5/5

If Joey has taught us anything, it’s that reviews like this are shite unless you do it in the driver’s seat of a borrowed minivan. Also, you didn’t woooop wooooop wooooooop once. Your review is worthless.

Jack’s makes the best fast food biscuit. Hardee’s is second. Have to be made from scratch every morning.

For those that don’t know, Alabama burger place w some locations in TN, GA and MS. Fantastic biscuits.

it's really all about the bottom line

everyone loves homemade biscuits, but it's not financially feasible to make 5,000 biscuits from scratch a week

The taste is similar but it has a different texture/consistency

Nailed it, I noticed this recently that something was off. They also fricked up the chicken tenders. Basically all batter and very little chicken.

She also picked lard straight out of the can over Popeyes

Yep. There's one by my house that I don't hit up often enough. Plus they have that smoked sausage link biscuit that is awesome.

It's about consistency too, but it was mostly the bottom line.

McDonald's wasn't making fresh biscuits 25 years ago when I worked there.

You just popped them in the oven for 20 min.
