One of my favorites. But its not a good location, and they definitely spread themselves too thin with Seafood Sallys and acquiring the Bevi space.
I guess a lot of the hipster places are dying off after a brutal summer.

Honestly never heard of the place. Where was it located?

My parents actually went there with a group during the week recently and said it was packed. But I’m sure there are on and off nights. The food was really good but the neighborhood sucked and a lot of people don’t care for the hipster atmosphere of the place.

This. Also as another poster mentioned I think it was hard on them juggling Seafood Sallys (closed for a bit), Marjies, and the Seafood thing on Carrolton/Bienville.

All the food was tasty from what I remember, but their cornbread was elite.

I love it, but my wife hates it so I've only been able to go twice. I will look into the supper club once they get that going.

I went once and really enjoyed it. However, I've never parked and swivel head ran into a place like I did there anywhere else.
I parked a little ways down Banks, if I remember right.

They will start a crowd funding program soon to keep them in business

They already did that with both Sally’s and the restaurant that hasn’t opened yet

This blows. I wish I had gone there more often. I like Seafood Sally’s but it seems like a bad investment.

Marjie's is a way better restaurant than Sallys.
This does indeed suck.
I think they banked on that corridor really taking off and it was looking like that for awhile, but Latoya and Covid killed that and it still sucks bad.

Imagine adding restaurants to your portfolio when you can’t float the one you started with. People giving these people money so they can play kitchen

Location is bad and I’ve looked to do take out there and their prices are crazy. And I’m someone that doesn’t GAF about paying to eat good food
They should call about the old Acropolis space on Freret
