Thinking of buying one of these blenders as a gift. Does anybody have one? What are your thoughts? Are they easy to clean, work well, etc.. If you have one which model did you get?

It would be for the hardest to buy for person I know but she loves margaritas.

I don't like using a normal blender because of the ice chunks left. Does one of these machine really shave the ice and make restaurant quality drinks?

For the price you are pretty close to a Vitamix which can do more than just make margaritas

Don't waste your time with this pos. My wife bought one of those and we used it one time. Brought it back to WilliamSonoma for full credit.

Get a good blender and use your imagination.

I can vouch for vitamix slushing up great margaritas, and other things.

I agree with this. We have one and by the time you blend it enough to get all of the large chunks of ice out...the drink is now watery. I would suggest another option.

(Is "watery" an actual word? Probably not.)

My wife has one and I have no complaints. Makes excellent drinks. Never had had an issue with it having chunks left at all. Doesn't even make sense to me how you could have chunks. It shaves the ice into the lower part and does so pretty fast. We use it the same way we would use a blender for anything else.

it works fine, but is a needless machine when a vitamix as someone else said, can do the job, and many others. why have a single purpose machine?

if you're buying for someone who likes margaritas, then just buy them a GOOD tequila, some grand marnier, and some limes. that's all they need.

My thoughts are this. Wouldnt get a specific machine like that unless it was a legit daiquiri machine

Why do people think this machine cannot function as a regular blender? How many women like Margaritas on the rocks?

We have one at our condo and it is a waste of space. Its huge and messy. Buy a good blender

Huh? That's a random statistic.

I hate them frozen. I'd say at least half of my female friends prefer them on the rocks as well.
