Any tips or recipes? I tried the Almond Flour and it was just ok. Looking for something a little better.

If that little bit of carbs is bothering you, then bake, broil or grill your fish.
Besides, if this is due to diet and weight loss, why eat fried foods in the first place????

I never understand why people respond to requests like this with judgments. Maybe the low carber wants a nice treat without actually breaking their eating style.
To the OP: Add grated Parm to the almond flour, maybe even using more Parm than almond flour. Also, as someone else suggested, crush some pork rinds. Play with these three in different combinations. The last time I fried fish, I used twice as much Parm as almond flour.
I buy little tubs of grated Parm. Not as pricey as really good Parmesan, but for this application, it works. I'm tempted to try it with the big green can.

Why not? Frying food doesn't make it inherently unhealthy.

Oh really. So every Dr. that tells their patients to do their best to stay away from, or limit their intake of fried foods for health reasons is lying?????

It's an outdated take, yes. Let me guess, you also think fat is bad for you.

Most fried food isn't made with a low carb batter genious

Yep. I recommend adding Parmesan cheese. They say coconut flour, never had that though.
My brother in law does pork cutlets with mashed pork rinds and Parmesan cheese and it's really good.

And to answer your question OP, I'm not a huge fan of any of the low carb batter recipes. I just go naked on fried things lately. I shake the meat up in a mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. It's important to keep the skin on IMO. Haven't tried fish like that though.

I've used coconut flour, but to me, the flavor dominates everything. Some don't think that's a bad thing.

I'll try the pork rinds next. Thanks

Lemme know the results, lefty. I’ve been wanting to try the same thing.

If I am going low carb, I will use a wet tempura style batter I saw online with a whey isolate base and psyllium husk/guar gum to thicken it.
6 tbsp whey isolate (unflavored)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp guar gum
1/4 tsp psyllium husk
1/2 tsp fish sauce
2 eggs
2 tbsp sparkling water (cold)

1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp guar gum
1/4 tsp psyllium husk
1/2 tsp fish sauce
2 eggs
2 tbsp sparkling water (cold)

Save your carbs for dinner
.25 C of flour has like 20g carbs. You can even cut it with other seasonings or parm

That's too many for one part of one meal if you're trying to do Keto or some other very low carb diet.

because it (seems) like a silly request.
I get what you're saying, but it still seems like a silly request.
