It's been almost a week so far. A few places I love walking to -Verdi mart, Mona Lisa, quarter master, buffa's, Frenchman st, franks, & camellia. It's awesome. Any reviews on meauxbar? Plannon taking the fiancée there when she comes down this weekend. I like the menu. Also need a brunch rexpmindation, plan on riding bikes around town Saturday & sunday.

I didn't care for it the one time I dined there for dinner. Nice atmosphere - good for a date for sure - but the food didn't live up to the price tag.

Verti Marte has the best macaroni and cheese only second to my long dead grandmother. Hose pipe noodles. I could eat my weight in it.

I enjoyed Meauxbar and think most people I know that have been feel the same way. Not the best restaurant in the Quarter but a nice place that is worth a try.

Melange (just off Frenchman) and Three Muses on Frenchman are both good.

I recently went to Bacchanal in Marigny/Bywater and it was really good. They sell wine in the front and guest chefs cook and sell food out in the back courtyard. Live bands most nights. You eat great food off paper plates and plastic cutlery but it is high quality and cheaply priced.

Sylvain is one of my top date-night spots. Affordable, great atmosphere and good food.

Ate there the other night and was very pleased. Plus we sat next to Bobby Flays wife and family. If it's good enough for his wife....it's good enough for me. The patio was beautiful and was a great place for date night.

I love Meauxbar.
Best Duck Confit I've had in NO and the Sweetbreads Beignet app was simply delicious.

When I worked in the French Qtr dispatching busses...we would get to work at 7am most of the time hungover (we were 19-21) Verti Mart would save the day with anything on the menu available for delivery...I once saw a buddy of mine eat a hot sausage/swiss dressed w mayo at 7:15 am after a night of partying...I used to stick with traditional breakfast.

What's the name of that sandwich at Verti Mart that is just overloaded with goodness? All That Jazz or something like that?

Ride your bike to Elizabeth's in the Bywater for brunch.

I also went to Maurepaus Food two weeks ago. You can ride your bike there as well for dinner.

Come back with your enthusiasm after you either get carjacked, robbed, or you ride your bike into one of the craters we call potholes in NOLA.
