This is my first humidor, so I didn’t go with anything too expensive. I’d rather screw up a cheap one first and learn from it than to do so on an investment.

This did come with a digital hydrometer. I’m not even attempting the replacement one I bought. It’s smaller and has a weird setup inside that I don’t like. I’m returning it since this original one seems to be working now. The Amazon link does show analog, but I bought the one with digital. It’s sold out now which is why it’s not showing in that link.

Once I get a greater understanding of it all I will then invest in a good one. It’s going on my birthday list

Not totally sure if the French Quarter guys are legit. Never tried them. Fortunately I live in a place with some great shops that have master rollers. They get their own tobacco, keep it in cold storage, curate their own blends and roll them in house. Without the pesticides, etc that you get from label brands you get a much cleaner burn. I still love the name brand stuff but I can’t smoke more than one a day and I definitely taste it the next morning.

The only ones this didn’t happen to me with are the Padron and most recently that Romeo Juliet. I’m home today from work with a sick kid, so I’m continuing my painting project. Lit up an Oliva Connecticut, and I threw it out after half a stick. I thought it was terrible. I can tell this will leave that ashy taste in my mouth for a while.

Love cigars...

I find myself looking for "Seconds" from the good guys.

I got some Alec Bradley 2nds that are GREAT (cigarsinternational) - less than $3/stick.

I can't pay what some of you do for smokes... I CAN, but I can't physically do it...

Cheers!

I always enjoy seeing other people’s collections. Does anyone else happen to use cigar scanner?

I do not but you may want to look at Neptune cigar also. They tend to be the cheapest and do a great job with the shipping. Their coupon code is Val2021for 14% off till 2/14.

Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Maduro Grand Robusto tonight. I’ve just recently found an affinity for cigars so I’m glad I found this thread.

Padron 7000 Maduro is probably my most consistent that I’ve had.

Also really enjoy the San Cristobal’s that I’ve had.

I have been trying a lot of new cigars lately trying to not get stuck in the rut of smoking the same few over and over.

Really enjoyed ep Carrillo encore majestic , rocky patel number 6, and la mission l’atelier 1959.

Guardian of the farm Apollo, Henry clay war hawk, and the oliva v lancero weren’t bad either.
