Always hate to see a business close but if anyone has been there recently you could tell it was really strugging. Staffing issues, rude service, dirty dinning area and they were always out of many of their breakfast and lunch items.

The Popeyes that was in that location for several years was always busy. I’m not sure why it closed down in the first place.

that is a bummer but I stopped going there for the exact same reasons you mentioned combined with the inconsistency between the 3 locations.

unfortunately there is not much left in the bocage area for a breakfast on the weekend now that district and KK have closed...unless you want a donut

NY Bagel has a good breakfast sandwich, Portobellos does brunch Saturday and Sunday, City Pork does the same but agreed would love a donut/breakfast spot in that location

Hopefully the airline location can stay operational. Those breakfast tacos hit different when hungover

It’s seeems like I am the only one who didn’t find anything special about it. I never understood the hype. It was 90% bread.

I think they have a pretty good operation going. The owner/operator is really nice and helpful.

rancheros were better than the kolaches

everything else completely overpriced and they ran too large of a menu for such a small location

I've gotten kolaches from the Jefferson location twice in the past couple of years and they were absolute dogshit. 90% bread and air, just a complete waste of money

Equipment vendor brings kolaches one morning. They're amazing. I ask where they're from and the guy says "kolache kitchen." I couldnt believe my ears - they looked and tasted that different. It was the one on Airline, not the one on Jefferson. Can't believe there's that big a difference in quality between locations

Their actual kolaches are alright. Rancheros are the shite. Empanadas used to be really good til they changed all the recipes to make it "cajun" and all that.

Went from sausage\cheese\spices to shrimp, whole jalepanos, and cheese.

It's a damn breakfast pastry bawww. Dont give me that shite.

Their kolaches turned to garbage turned to 90% bread but their breakfast tacos and sandwiches were great until the last few months

That was a very convenient location. We used to get Popeyes a lot more often when it was open. It was always clean, and they never messed up your order.

They had to close it, because it was ruining their reputation.

I imagine the rent is stupid. Have you seen what they charge in that C-store? Bocage is making them silly.

And the product sucked. I used to buy it for schmoozing gifts years ago. Went a year ago and it sucked.

It was absolutely only a problem at that location. Terrible quality compared to the LSU location and definitely the Nola location
