He puts out a good, entertaining product. I do enjoy his show.

What’s his reputation in NOLA?

Did he replace the "John Besh Wholesome Family Cooking" timeslot?

He’s not my favorite as far as delivery/style, but I record if he is doing an interesting dish. Boudin Fest was on this morning; recorded it.

So random to see on this site given that it’s PBS. I love his show although he’s kind of weird. He cooks with a lot of butter/oil/fat but that comes with the type of dishes he cooks.

PBS actually has instructional cooking shows. We watch Kevin occasionally as well as Lidia and America's Test Kitchen. Better than any of the crap on Food Network.

Every Friday I preview the Saturday morning LPB lineup of cooking shows and record the good ones for later viewing, I used to watch a lot of Food Network, but it’s all dumbass competition shows or triple D now.

Steven Raichlen and America's Test Kitchen/Cook's Country are top notch

My mother in law gave me his cookbook as a present. I enjoy it. I like his style. More creole/southern/soul-food recipes which I really like

Yeah, that damn chicken stock he uses looks to be 90% rendered chicken fat. I make a lot of different stocks and my chicken stock is never that yellow or thick in a liquid state.

I feel my arteries clogging when he pours that stuff into a dish he's making.

He is entertaining but a mediocre home cook.

Kind of like a black Justin Wilson typical N.O. style home cooked meals.

Never to be confused with Jacques Pepin, Emeril Lagasse, John Folse or Paul Prudhomme.

Paul Prudhomme would be my choice. Don’t care for any of the rest.

Prudhomme was one of my favorite chefs to follow on TV. Pepin cooks many things in the traditional French style and has a vast repertoire of dishes he knows how to cook well.

Folse has shown a recent tendency to cook things more on the heart healthy style and not the traditional ways I grew up eating, but probably still good none the less. He offers a decent alternative for those on dietary restrictions.

I'm sure Emeril is a great chef but I found it hard to get into his show with his always playing up to the audience.

I’ve watched Pepin’s French omelette video countless times on youtube. He is something else.

I don’t watch him often, but he’s likable. He used to cook at one of the tourist cooking schools, I believe.
