Want ribs tonight. Hadn’t had them or bought them in a while. Was shocked to see the price tag on them. $4.99/lb at Rouses. I remember buying racks of spares for like $7-$10 a year ago.

I guess our overlords are going to make us pay if we want meat. They won’t be happy until we are eating soy and insects.

You're "paying your fair share" now.

Pork spare ribs are $0.99/lb at Rouses in BR this week according to the weekly flier. Sounds like you got screwed.

Was deceptive marketing. These are the $0.99/lb ribs.

If true then yeah I definitely did. Although every pack of spare and babyback ribs they had was $4.99/lb (higher for the baby backs). I don’t study fliers before shopping but hell maybe next time I should give them a look.

They did have some trim cut ribs for dirt cheap but they aren’t worth buying.

Gotta feed the craving and I’m not price shopping around town for ribs on a whim

You got hosed. Spares are around $2.50-3.00/lb at every store I checked. If the spares were $5, how much were the baby backs?

I didn’t check their per pound price but they were several dollars more total than the spares.

Had a feeling it would be those kind of ribs.

I’d rather pay the $4.99/lb

Aren't they the same thing, just the plastic wrapped ones need a little at home trimming?

I bought the cheap ones at Rouses. They have the top bone connecting them, so you need a cleaver or saw to get them apart.

Not sure. I’ve bought them before but remember them being very fatty and a mess with all the odd bones left in them. Not sure where they come from or why they are split off from the rack and packaged separately. Good for stock bones.

At 4.99 I imagine you got St. Louis, paying for them to trim them.

Yeah those are the shite ribs that ain't worth a damn. They do the same thing with wings sometimes too. Got me about a month ago. Cheap price (forgot what it was) with decent looking cut pieces. Get home and tear open the pack and the majority of the wings looked like they were butchered by a semi.

Yep the "chicken wings and pieces". Looked like they were thrown in a meat grinder and had feathers all over them. I still ate them, but won't buy again.
