Jambalaya Spoon

Recently gifted a 5 gallon jambalaya pot. I need recommendations on a spoon or stirrer. I’ve made a couple of pots with some regular serving size spoons but the weight of the ingredients ends up bending the spoon pretty bad.

Where do you live?
Several hardware stores in BR sell jambalaya cooking gear

this ^^^^^
a boiling pot paddle is what you need to look for
they have a few styles to pick from so just be sure its sturdy and at least a 6"x6" paddle size or larger

Can't beat that price for a once in a lifetime purchase----unless you lose it that is.

Wood paddle, I hate how the stainless steel ones sound against the cast iron when scraping the fond.

A metal paddle is used for round bottom pots cooked outside on a burner. The pot is set lower and it’s easy to stir with a paddle.
If you have a flat bottom pot and you are cooking on an indoor stovetop or an outdoor burner (not low to the ground), then find a heavy duty spoon.
You can find both at a restaurant supply store.
