Had it for the first time last week and i think it blows every other king cake that I've had away.

Not too sweet, not a 2 inch second rate cinnamon roll.

Anyone else had it?

It's pretty freaking good. They're the best king cakes you can get at the grocery store.

What kind is your favorite? This morning, I spent 10 minutes at the Government St. store trying to figure out what kind to get...finally settled on cream cheese. (I really wanted to try the Italian Cream cake one, but I didn't think the kids would eat it.) I've never had one from there, so I hope it lives up to the F & D board's hype.

And damn you! I was planning on waiting until after dinner to cut into it and now it's calling my name.

It's excellent. If I had had the time, I would have picked one up while going through town the other day.

Hi do. Just got ones this morning. You'll get one right out of the oven. Nothing like it.

I've always praised Ralph's Markets king cakes, but they don't seem to taste as good anymore. Me and my female have come to the conclusion that king cakes aren't really that special anyway So we'll stick to the incredible carrot cake at Portobello's.

The last few I've had from Ralph's have been excellent. But I've been eyeballing the banana foster cake at Calandros and I might give it a try today for Super Bowl.

My favorite are the ones I buy at Maxwell's. Can't remember who makes it.
