I like Jersey Mike's and Jimmy Johns. Tons of meat, minimal toppings, and good bread.

I did eat at a McCallister's for the first time a few weeks ago. That was really good!

It's damn solid. Their roast beef rounds are top-notch... done "Mike's way" is excellent

Potbelly is pretty damn good too. I don’t know if they’re are any in Louisiana yet though.

I wish they would sell half size potatoes (aside from the Pick 2). Those things they sell are too big

I ate there 3 weeks ago and ordered a regular Philly (regular size) and fries and it was too much food for me to eat. I agree with the other poster that Jersey Mike's isn't even close.

I tried them once.

Once.

They’re nothing special. The buns are unremarkable.

It’s processed sandwich meat on bread. How could it be “all that?”

I've never really heard anyone claiming it was anything special. Personally I think Firehouse is overrated.

Every Philly I’ve had from a Jersey Mikes has been cooked on a flat top.

JM’s is ok. IMO Firehouse has as good, or better hot subs. Publix has better cold subs.
