They certainly do the best sort of Northeast Italian style subs of any chain I've seen.

It and Firehouse are the clear top of the sandwich chains. I go back and forth which I enjoy more, but yes, Jersey Mikes is very good for a sandwich chain.

It may be good, but Lafayette seems to be a Poboy capital

Jersey mikes is gross

I’m sure these words have never been uttered before but it’s actually worse than subway

ETA: the cheesesteak is microwaved

It’s fine for a fast food sandwich shop. Don’t go in with any expectations and you’ll enjoy it

Ehh I had their Italian type cold sub and I thought the Jimmy John's versions were better. I'd be willing to give it a second chance though.

My wife likes Jimmy's Italian better, I prefer Mike's. Potbelly beats them both though.

The hot Philly Cheesesteaks definitely sets Mike's apart from other sandwich shops.

For the Italian I like the warm Italian that Firehouse makes.

I've only ever had the meatball there. They aren't very prevalent up here.

It's good, I prefer Lenny's for cold subs and Firehouse for hot subs. and if you count Publix, it's also better IMHO.

But Jersey Mikes is on par with those other places, just personal preference I'd say, they do different things.

The Jersey Mike's cheesesteak is flavorless and mostly bread. It isn't even in the same universe as Philly Me Up on Jefferson.

Agree. Philly Me Up cheesesteak is light years ahead of Jersey Mikes, and I like Jersey Mikes. PMU uses Amoroso bread from Philadelphia too.
