Oh yeah totally! That's what I mean. I would pick Curbside/Merchant over Five Guys all day.

You people are arguing four pages over a burger joint.

Clearly, both sides are wrong.

Five Guys is a rip-off and outrageously overrated.

It would be better if they offered a one-person fry for cheaper. Their smallest fry is expensive and enough for 2 at minimum.

A small fry is $3.00. Is this really expensive?

There are also multiple grown men saying that a double cheeseburger and small fry is enough food for 2 people.

I think the In n Out craze came way before there were better options here

When In & Out came to the Houston area about a year ago, the craze was stupid. Lines down the street and shite.

I tried it once I was able to get into a line that wasn't at least 12 cars deep, found it to be pricier than Whataburger for the amount of burger to fill you up, and not as good. "Animal style", you get charged extra for what is basically a ketchup/mayo and bit of pepper mix. Whataburger's pepper sauce is better, IMO.

I don't care about fries. Fries at fast food joints all pretty much suck except for hot out the grease Checkers fries (which I haven't had in years).

1 hamburger and the smallest fry? I just don't know what I am missing. Do people really cut a burger in half?

I think it’s a top notch fast food burger.

you can't be a "fast food" joint when you don't have a drive thru.

and yes it's overrated. easily the greasiest of the popular chain burger joints.

Just here to say that this thread inspired me to get a burger for lunch today (not from 5 Guys though)

Well, yeah. The cheeseburger at 5 guys is 980 calories and the small fry is 530 calories. Split between two people that comes out to 755 calories each. That is plenty of calories unless you're super fat.

Okay. The average caloric needs for an adult male are between 2 and 3,000 calories per day. Thus, I could split this monstrous meal with someone 4 times per day.

We aren’t talking about the health implications of eating 5 Guys just the volume of food. You and your partner keep cutting your cheeseburgers in half though.

Oh, that's great. As obesity rates continue to explode. Link to a crappy government bureaucrat telling me that meat is bad for me too, and that I should be eating processed crap loaded with vegetable oil.

Let's face it, the "average" American male consumes way too much crappy food, and if you're the type pontificating that a double cheeseburger and fries isn't too much for a manly man, you're probably a fatty.

As overrated and overpriced? Overpriced, maybe. Overrated, no. Best thin patty burger in town.
