But it's fricking horrible

Chili that is more cinnamon than anything else with spaghetti noodles and a mountain of shredded cheese on top

I just don't get the attraction

Skyline chili isn’t a food, it’s a scourge on humanity

Skip the chili. Go to the Montgomery Inn and get ribs.

Its not.

I dont even think the majority of them like it.

A vocal few are militant about how great it is though.

Its shitty chili on overcooked, wet spaghetti. Its gross.

I can choke down a chili dog with shredded cheese if needed, but it's not great.

And this is my wife's family. They're from ohio. Skyline is not only not chili, it's not decent food. Every time we go visit her family it's multiple trips there.

The skyline hot dog is ok.

I can't even look at the pasta abomination.

Oh yea. i can do the hotdogs. She also buys the frozen stuff at kroger so we're stuck eating it at home too since our daughter likes it. Better pasta and plenty of hot sauce makes it bearable.

One of the best meals I ever ate was at a Chicago beef joint. Juicy, sweet and hot, Italian ice, fries. Cost about $12, and I ate it outside at a table with a friendly truck driver who looked like he could play defensive line for the Bears.

The Art of Ordering at Johnnie’s Beef

Another great Yankee meal was the pastrami sandwich at Katz’s Deli in NYC. I BBQ brisket all the time, so I can vouch their stuff is legit awesome.

Yeah, I had the misfortune of trying it when we were up there a few years ago. Kept hearing how we had to eat this when we arrived. It reminded me of something an 8 year old would make in his first attempt at fixing a meal w/ whatever was leftover in the pantry.
