Not sure in what category, but I’d add Station 6 to that

Good one. It should definitely be there over say, Seithers.

I just value your opinion legend. Was just asking.

I’m a paladar guy but also an experience guy. Therefore I am a Moscas guy

Fair enough and good point. I was trying to fit into that group, and that was the first one that came to mind. I think it's the best BBQ in the area. Does Station 6 count as Metairie? I'd probably put them there. Not sure what else? Blue Line, Tan Dihn, Sal and Judy's? I rarely leave NOLA to head to the suburbs now

No top 30 list should have a place in Metairie on it

Well owing to Orleans’s failure to field an actual east/west coast level sushi restaurant, we’re going to have to include Yakuza for now and taint the list with a lowly Metairie restaurant. Maybe next year. Ball’s in NO’s court.

(I don’t count station 6 as Metairie)

On a lot of national lists of New Orlean’s top restaurants, Dickie Brennan’s is almost always highly ranked. Its good but not sure why it is considered one of the best.

It did. Koz and Eli were completely burned out and had a little falling out I think. They were booked for months.

They also made a terrible deal when they first started with a marketing company that F’d them up the butthole they couldn’t get out of. So they just closed instead.

Koz plans on reopening in the next year or so. He went home to japan for a minute but he’s back I think.

Or so I hear.

I love Geautreaux’s but I haven’t been there since the change in regime.

The guy who said that Fausto’s is the best Italian restaurant in Metairie. I won’t argue with that. I went there last week and it was very good. I miss Andrea’s.

Mosca’s. I love Mosca’s but the reason I don’t go there more often is because I can cook most of their famous dishes better than they can.

Zasu

Bump for a Zasu update.

One of the best meals I’ve had in New Orleans. Sat outside, service was great. Had a marinated crab claw special, sweetbreads, charred octopus, pork cheeks, and pierogies.

Favorite were the sweetbreads, least favorite were the pierogies. Top to bottom everything was great and will definitely be going back.

Popped into Chris McMillian’s bar nextdoor “Revel”. Pretty cool spot…kind of like Cure if cure was a neighborhood bar. Extensive drink list bartended by mixologists. There was a questionably homeless guy sitting a seat or two over from us that ordered a burger and beer, scarfed it down, then made a run for it. Felt bad for the bartender. Quite the New Orleans experience

Zasu flies under the radar, and I think they like it that way. More of a neighborhood spot as it feels like she doesn’t cater to the tourists or seek out pub. Zemanick has been doing in the city 20+ years, almost like folks forgot about her

Friend,

Mosca’s is not among the top ten best Italian restaurants in the Metro. Impastato’s remains firmly planted at #1 on that list and any such list that does not include America’s finest Creole Italian restaurant is ridiculous. And Seither’s?

What are the top ten?

And do Mother and Uncle have the same top ten as you?
