I had a bunch of leftover brisket and wanted to do something different with it. Here is what I came up with and the results.
Ingredients
-chopped brisket
-lasagna noodles
-your choice of BBQ sauce
-your choice of 2-3 cheese (I used shredded cheddar, slice white American, and shredded mozzarella mix)
Steps
1) in a tin pan out a layer of bbq sauce on the bottom to prevent sticking. Then place a layer of the cooked lasagna noodles on top
2) on top of the noodles place more bbq sauce and add the brisket in

3) place a layer of your choice of cheeses on top of the brisket

4) repeat these steps until you run out of ingredients

5) place on the smoker at 350-375 for 45 minutes uncovered
6) remove and let rest for 10 minutes before cutting

Final product cross section:

Recommendation if I repeat: I would probably throw some jalapeños in there for some added flavor. I think they would have been a great addition.

Corn tortillas instead of pasta
Salsa
Peppers

Looks good. I would eat it.

I have never seen this before. It's one of those things you didn't know you wanted because you didn't know it existed. I haven't tried yours, but I'd imagine the pepper would be a good addition.

Next time I wouldn’t use presliced cheese. Looks good though.

I would layer in some acid to break up all that fat and cheese

jalapeños
sliced white or red onion
corn kernels
stuff like that

Agree, it seems too dense and rich. One or two bites would be enough. A layer of something contrasting would be nice. Mustard or collard greens, maybe?

Nice way of being creative with leftovers. We make a Mexican lasagna that our kids love. Still use the lasagna noodles but we have done it with flour tortillas too. Use spicy regrows beans, Mexican rice, queso, and pickled japs. We have used leftover brisket, smoked chicken, beef or chicken fajita meat. It’s all good! Good job!

I would have used tomato sauce rather than bbq sauce. Basically, keep it the same as a regular lasagna other than the brisket.

Very interesting. I prefer nachos with left over BBQ.

I could see doing some sort of Mexican Casserole or even an Enchilada dish.

But yeah for noodles I would have tried a full on normal lasagna with the BBQ.

I'd eat what you made though.
