Ordered a double quarter pounder. It was 1 pm and I hadn't eaten yet. I figured it'd just be edible. Actually enjoyed the hell out of it. It may be because I was hungry as all get out but damn, it was good for a drive through.

Didn't taste like how I remembered.

They use "better" beef for the QPs.

I love McDonald's. I always do the online survey to get a two-for-one coupon. Two McDoubles with extra onions and no pickles - $2.48 with coupon. For breakfast I usually get a sausage McMuffin with hash browns well done. They really do cook the hash browns well done and they arrive hot and crisp.

So the point of your post is that you enjoyed McDonalds?

As do I.
Big Mac adding my own ketchup and double cheese burgers are my go to.
But I’m trying to stay at 165 lbs so I don’t go much.

Is this really true?

Because they definitely taste better than all the other McD burgers.

Not a big McDonalds fan, but like their regular cheese burgers better than the 1/4 pounders and 1/2 pounders. I think it's the dehydrated onions that they put on them. I love dehydrated onions for some reason.

You gotta love how people trash McDonalds or Burger King as shite food, completely disregarding that they’re the most popular burger places on earth and do billions in business yearly.

But we’re the fricking weirdos for actually liking it.

Hint for these people: If their food was shite, they wouldn’t do billions of dollars of business per year a-hole.

You can't regard the cheap and convenient factors. People don't go there because it's the best tasting burgers and fries on earth.

The next time you get a burger at McDonald’s, tear off a piece of just the burger patty and eat that by itself without condiments of any kind. See what it tastes like. Or if it taste like anything at all. I swore them off after they changed to their new “natural” burger patties. I don’t know what they did to them but that ain’t natural. I did notice that they put more condiments on my Quarter Cheese to compensate for the loss in beef flavor.

They made a switch about 6 years ago to use fresh not frozen beef for the QPs. The other burgers still ship as frozen patties.

I eat fast food burgers 3 or 4 times a year, usually Whataburger or Sonic. I'm going to gain some weight because of the Double QP.

Not as big as you probably think. My ailments cause me to have to try to gain weight which is one reason that I eat at McDonald's. I currently tip the scales at around 130.

The double quarter pounder is my burger at Mickey D’s. I crave one about once a month.

Double quarter pounder add Big Mac sauce. My guilty pleasure that I might have twice a year but it’s good
