Although you want to get plenty seafood, two of my favorite things are not seafood: the Alabama white BBQ chicken skewers, and the beef tarare.

Their tartare in that oyster aioli is better than any I've ever had.

Before oysters get the tuna dip and crab claws.

Martini or cocktail to start with a dozen murder points or other oysters.

Fried Bread
Seafood Salad
Royal Reds with Garlic Butter (if they have them)
Tartare
Tuna Crudo
Either crabmeat and capellini with jalepeno or Spicy Shrimp Noodle
If in Steak mood, their rib eye might be the best in the city
Brabant potatoes
Brussels

Caramel Cake
Salted Peanut Pie

I usually always get the fish special. The past three times it has been.

Whole roasted Flounder
Whole speckled trout with peanut sauce
Swordfish steak with a citrus butter sauce

Seafood Platter to get all the good raw stuff at once > smoked tuna dip > catfish w/pickled greens + chili broth > whole grilled fish > fried brussels sprouts w/ chili vinegar.

Split that amongst 3-4 and you're good. I'm pretty sure that's the exact order I've got the 5 or 6 times I've gone.

Always get the crudo. The fish collar is also very good if offered.

The only thing I've had from there that I wasn't pleased with was the shrimp roll. Overpowering mustard flavor.

Their baked drum is to die for. They have the best broth I have ever tasted.

Make sure to get a side of brussels sprouts and their brabant potatoes.

They also have some solid apps: smoked tuna dip and fried bread are my favs.

And as you said, make sure you get their oysters. Amazing restaurant.

A friend and I split the tartare and the fish sticks for apps and the whole redfish with salsa verde for the entre. Everything was great, the whole redfish was $61...so it’s a normal thing to split.

ETA: (just because of the down vote)

I have business in New Orleans next week. Could a single walk up and eat at the bar? Is the bar that 'type' of bar?
