they have a financially solvent, year round market in the 70816 and 70817 zip codes, whereas at the original location, they don't have this at all 7 months out of the year ...
True, but they probably see nice sales spikes during football season and have better alcohol sales at the original location.

Rag, next time I am in town, let's hit up Walk-on's and grab a few and watch something broadcasted on the Cox Sports Channel (after dinner at DeAngelo's and a stop by Tiger District).
sounds good .. hit me up next time you're in town ..

I have no jealousy for anyone in the restaurant business. The hours are long, customers are often hard to please and it is a huge risk. I have met Brandon and he seemed like a very nice guy. Even with a huge bankroll you are not guaranteed success. Look at smokey bones and some other bug chains that have gone belly up.

a lot of that are a bevy of worthless middle managers with $75K/year salaries and benefits to pay with their thumbs stuck up their asses all day ..

Whatever happened to the guy with the last name of Williams that was in with Todd Graves on Canes?

You mis-spelled Silvy.

So what happened to Bailey's?
Ah, Bailey's. I used to eat there exactly once a semester, when they passed out their $1 off coupons. Then Cane's opened up across the street, and that was it for Bailey's.

Bailey's closed and there is a pharmacy there. Noah's Pets was in the same area and they closed too. It may have had something to do with the land.

Now Walk-Ons has a great location and thats about the only good thing I can say about the place. Appetizers are decent but the food is not great by any means.
they do have great beer, appetizers and atmosphere. its all about the location and the coaches shows they have that keep em a flot. i wanna see how the new location will do.

so far, to date, the new location has always had at least a 2/3rds full parking lot everytime i have driven by .. and i drive by there a lot in a week ... and this is at various times of the day too ... have been there twice, awesome talent as far as the female wait staff is concerned .. food is VERY average .. but the beer's cold and i am not really there to eat anyway ..

Anything new in this town will be packed for a few months....Until people come to their senses and understand its just another grunt shack..

I can't see how people talk about Raising Cane's like it's the best thing. It's fried chicken tenders and ore-ida french fries. You can get that at almost any gas station across the south. What they're missing out on is Potato Logs instead of fries.

todd did take an incredibly simple idea and get rich off of it .. then again, so did the guys that decided to bottle water too ..

I agree on the fries. I can't even stand the smell of their food anymore. When someone walks in our office with it I have to light a candle to get rid of the stinch.

Ya'll need a Zaxby's down there. It's a more upscale version of Canes and their menu is quite extensive. I really never liked Canes because I don't like bland fried chicken. I actually thought that Baileys had a better flavor than Canes. I really fail to see why Canes made it so big. I'm glad that the guy did well with his company but I don't see what the big draw is. I find the strips at Popeyes and KFC have more flavor than Canes. If that sauce is the big draw you can actually make that stuff at home. Oh and Zaxbys has fantastic salads. There is another place here that is just like Canes. It has the same sauce and menu. The name of this place is Jim Bobs. Somebody told me that Jim Bobs originated out of Auburn. I ate there once and I thought that I was eating at Canes.
