so is this a true story ?
It's true that he hit someone, not true about being drunk. It was on a weekday on campus. And the girl was hurt and Brandon was devestated. It was an accident, not a dui

What does Brandon Landry have to be depressed about?
apparently he hit a hit student pedestrian on the lsu campus in the middle of the day and hurt her pretty badly .. what's a dude his age doing driving around LSU during the day anyway ?

Step 2- Hire the hottest and most incompetent waitresses you can find
Now you see, I was gonna leave Bnap's girl out of this.

Rocco's is planning on franchising- Rocco's.
That probably wouldn't work, though.
Po-Boy places are a dime a dozen in Louisiana, and they probably wouldn't do well outside of Louisiana.
There are just certain types of places that are going to do well in certain regions. A snowball stand, po-boy or muffuletta place that does well in Louisiana isn't going to do well in Cleveland.

I could care less if someone is born unto a successful Doctor, and utilizes such to get started in business, and/or if their good friend/teammate is along in partnership.
Or if another guy goes off to school, knocks off an idea for business from where he worked, then opens a chain that becomes much more successful, this story also aided by a Doctor, and his empty locations, to help take flight, at one point in time.
All three of those guys deserve the success and fortune, they found niches and filled them, even if two of them sheer sheep to get it..
What matters is the food, Canes is solid at what it attempts, on the other hand, Walk-On's serves bogus fare, and that offends me as a consumer.
I've always respected Pat Quigley and Ivar's, for he has good food, and puts out a quality product.

Doesn't bother me either. What is a whole lot worse would be for Brandon to sit back and do nothing with his life because his family has money.

Step 1 - find a fantastic location
Step 1 - Work in the kitchen at the Chimes, and leave your cohort to work the bar up front. Find out how a successful restaurant is run. Too bad they are forgetting what they learned.

We really don't critisize their success just the quality or portions of their food...These are not restaurants but rather fast food places and bars...a lot of people get into that business and have never cooked a meal...have no idea how to use spices or create a meal...they just want to build and franchise...thats the way to make money...but it looses the love of cooking...they don't love cooking but rather see it as a way to become rich...most of the time they are out of business within 5 years.

all the waitresses and bartenders at walk ons were really slutty during bnap's gf's day

quote:that's a joke, right? I don't know the owner's of either of these places, and really don't know their stories, but their stories are irrelevant. You need some luck to be successful in business, but at the end of the day, it is hard work, dedication and smarts that make a business survive and thrive.
We all know the only reason those boys got rich is from rich daddies/relatives who basically set them up to succeed. No talent involved at all.
The answer to the question in the first post is that jealousy is most definitely a huge factor.

So what happened to Bailey's? Were they a local compnay? Did Cane's buy them out?

without a break here and there, i have seen a lot of people with these qualities fail in a number of businesses unfortunately ..

that's what i was getting at starting the thread .. for whatever reason, these guys have been successful out of the gate ... a lot of people have predicted doom and gloom for the new walk on's location .. i have to disagree, they have a financially solvent, year round market in the 70816 and 70817 zip codes, whereas at the original location, they don't have this at all 7 months out of the year ...

i think this would be more appropriate at the moment .. :asskisser:

I have never been to Walk-ons or eaten at Canes...I don't got to a bar for the food...if I do, I don't have high expectations for it. I would go to a place like Walk-ons for the beer, the TV's and to hang out.
Rag, next time I am in town, let's hit up Walk-on's and grab a few and watch something broadcasted on the Cox Sports Channel (after dinner at DeAngelo's and a stop by Tiger District).
