I tear my little fingers up digging the fat out of each head.

Same here. I suck the heads too when they’re juicy. If there’s good fat and juice, I get full faster. If the claws have any meat, I give those a shot also.

Give me snow crab legs instead

If at a restaurant, 8 since you only get 1 corn and 1 or 2 potatoes. At home, probably less since I'll eat about 10 potatoes and nibble on the sausage (
). But I'll eat until the ice chest is empty or I just can't go anymore.

Rip a claw off that's appropriately sized for the heads and scoop the fat out with it

Like many that have already responded, about 5 lbs. with the fixings of corn, potatoes, sausage, mushrooms, garlic, etc.
It's been that way for me for the past 10 years or so since my digestive system has undergone some changes as I've aged (now 71) and can't eat the bugs like I once could. As a younger man I could eat 10+ pounds with ease and still want more.

I am not a fan of anything else in the boil, occasionally will put mushrooms in. I would rather not have boiled sausage, but that is me.

Never really thought about it. Probably about 6, I’d guess. My old roommate from college comes over from Vicksburg when I boil crawfish (he returns the favor at his house) and that 5’7 150 lb man will eat however many pounds I put in front of him. 4 or 14 lbs. he will eat all of them

With a full range of sides, 5 pounds is fine, but could stretch it to 7-8 pounds.

It doesn't feel like a gluttonous amount spread over 2-3 hours. I've put away 23 pounds in 2 hours when I was younger but it was the larger crawfish at the end of the season. That was indeed gluttonous. I'm not a big guy or fat.
