I do not understand the McDonald's move at all. It does just fine where it is. I understand Canes moving since that parking lot does not work for their lines at all (although that might improve once WD closes), but McDonald's has its own little corner. One small concern I have is that the Exxon by Walmart on Highland/Lee shut down soon after being renovated and now is a complete eyesore.. Winn Dixie will be closing and Canes moving, along with McDonalds. The houses next door to Walgreens are horrible.. I hope that little stretch doesn't become really shitty. They already opened a smoke shop/ATM/liquor thing in the old Tiger Tailoring.

I haven’t lived in Louisiana for near a decade however, I remember as a child(1980’s)that stretch of Highland road running away from LSU past Lee was far more rural and picturesque than it is today.

Such a damn shame.

The McDonalds is moving like 500 feet

Whataburger lines are long because it takes forever to get through the drive thru once you order. 10-15 minimum 9 times out of 10.

Have to admit it is worth the wait compared to McDonald’s and their laxative food.

McDonald’s has very well compensated people that do studies and have data that think differently.

All of Burbank from Lee out to Bluebonnet will be a ghetto like Gardere is now. Give it 20 years, but strip malls, shite housing developments and apartments, every fast foot place imaginable…south Baton Rouge had a lot of promise but everything that goes up is garbage.

I don't doubt that.

Hopefully it goes the opposite and a bunch of good places move in on both of those corners so the entire intersection is built up with nice stuff. If we are going to build up the area anyway, want it all to turn nice vs. some parts sitting empty.

Ate with a group at Our Mom’s once and one of my friends got a burger without the patty. He took a bite out of it first without looking and only tasted the bread. Sent it back thinking he would get a new meal. No. These idiots put the bun with a bite mark back on the new patty. Haven’t been since. We were laughing at first tho because how do you screw up the most essential part of a burger

They are moving Cane’s #2?

Bailey’s should have held out longer.

Yep. It’s the same principle as boxing out in basketball

Idk why you are getting down voted, the cluster effect is proven.

But McDonald's is moving because that corner is shitty, you can only exit 2 directions.

Atomic burger was great in Metairie when owner was there. He stopped being there (presumably to expand to BR) and everything went to shite.

Typical restaurant fail.

I found their burgers to be way too greesy. I liked the different mayos though.
