Early on it was supposed to be sealed containers and such only for to go. It’s gotten much more liberal.
I was on the bike this weekend and stopped at three places who gave me mixed drinks

Superior seemed to get in trouble and started "sealing" the drinks with tape over the straw hole a couple weeks ago. They also switched to make you buy food to get a drink. Added chips and salsa on the menu for $1 that is auto-charged/provided to you if you try to order drinks without food.
I haven't seen anyone else mention the requirement to buy food, but I imagine Superior has a bigger target on them considering the sheer volume they have been doing in margarita sales.

Thanks.
We were under the impression that we needed a special license to do this. We already sell food at the bar. We’re in a small town (only bar) with a ton of regulars so this would benefit us.

Olive or Twist was shut down for 3 weeks by the ATC until they started expediting “Temporary Restaurant Conditional” permits, which aren’t technically recognized by the ABC.
Then they were shut down for doing the cocktail crowlers. They can sell you a bottle of champagne to go, a cup of orange juice and beer in a crowler, but can’t sell you a crowler of mimosa. They can sell you a gallon of frozen Jack & Coke, but can’t sell you a canned Jack & Coke. The ATC isn’t capable of making a logical decision that’s in the best interest of small businesses.

I saw that on the social media. That's some real bullshite, IMO. I cannot stand the ATC.

eh that hasn't been an issue since the new ownership came in years ago and actually put some money into the place

I wonder if this was just something that they decided to do to make a little extra $.
The one down here wasn't requiring the food purchase as of two weeks ago.

There is a difference between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

Nah. ATC hassling them.
It’s pretty weird considering they have sold drinks to-go since the day they opened their doors a few years ago.
Since this pandemic hit and restaurants that don’t normally do take out drinks started doing them, the ATC seems to be confused about what is or isn’t going to be allowed.

Weird, you would think most people on this board did not like the Edwards fam the way they post about the old man crook in the OT.

Hate the sin not the sinner. The local yokels love the thief more than their own well being.

His OP was worded poorly, but he wasn't asking because he's mad they're doing it. He's asking because he is looking for guidance to do the same.

Very poorly
They are issuing and expediting special permits for bars to allow them to sell food and beverage to go. Get in touch with the ATC office

I’m going with yes.

The OP should reword his original post. Ivars doing what they are allowed to. I don’t see Ivars having any special privileges than anyone having to adjust during this quarantine time. They are losing money like every business. Trust me, every single business still operating currently no matter the industry, we have seen a drop in profits the last two months. I’m in logistics and we saw a drop.
