It's definitely better than Teppanyaki or Kaminari, that's for sure. The rolls are damn good, IMO. Not on the level of Yama or Ichiban or Koto, but still pretty good, especially for the price. I'd put it on level of an average sushi joint like Drunken Fish or Tsunami.

I don't think the made money off of me an Jr. today. This is the lunch menu and what you can order.
We had a house salad, 2 orders shrimp tempura, shrimp (shumai) and pork (gyoza) dumplings, miso soup, clear soup, 2 orders masago, Philly roll, rainbow roll, baby tiger roll, dragon roll.
Lunch Menu, now $15.95

They make their money off of light eating women and drinks.
They also might have mexicans(like at Nagoya) rolling the sushi rather than asians.

Spicy tuna is the bane of my sushi existence.

Easily order 70$ every time. It's not the best sushi in town but it's easily the best bang for your buck.

The tuna tataki was literally 5 thin slices of tuna.
That's why you ask for 5 orders of it. They expect it half the time.

Most people dont go in there and gorge themselves like its their last meal.
I do. Isn't that the point?

That's bullshite. My go-tos are the Snow White, Double Crunchy, and I-10 rolls, and none of them have spicy tuna.

I'm sorry but they don't churn out "excellent" sushi. It's mediocre at best.

I'm sure as most have said, people don't go in and eat their weight in sushi. Most are satisfied with an app and a couple rolls, especially during a short lunch break. I have witnessed some men doing WORK on those sushi rolls at lunch though... certainly aren't making any money off those guys.
Personally, it's cheaper for me to just order off the menu... I can't eat more than 3 rolls and I stick with the veggie ones there (eggplant tempura, sweet potato, and the standard avo/cuc combo), with the prices for those rolls being $3-$3.50, it's better for me to just buy them and not get the all you can eat.
I'm sure they are finding a way to make money, as they are always busy. Last time I was there the waiter gave my cousin a lecture about having to eat all the rice on his plate - this is prior to having it delivered and those were his intentions anyway. Just thought it was funny
Has anyone ever been denied more food? I.E. the peppered tuna that comes with rice. Does anyone have experience with them not bringing out your next order if you don't eat the rice?
I would guess they make their money on dinner, not lunch.

IMO, depends what time the groceries arrive. Several times I've sat at the bar and watched them prepare my order right off the fish

Place stinks and is not sanitary.

It's $15 for lunch, $24ish for dinner. Dinner has a much larger menu (you can literally order one of every sashimi if you feel like it) and includes a soft drink or your first sake.
I-10 is the bomb. snow crab topped with mango and mango sauce. great flavor. I can also eat my weight in their double spicy rolls.

Reading the title, I thought this thread was about Masa in NYC, which is literally the most expensive restaurant in the US (and one of the most expenisve sushi places in the world).
To say that is not the case is an understatement.
